Capabilities

Replies, reactions, moderation statuses, quotas and optional AI moderation.

Configuration checklist

  • Choose guest mode or require Google/Facebook author sign-in.
  • Set moderation and reply/reaction behavior.

Verify before publishing

  • Test an unauthenticated visitor in required-sign-in mode.
  • Moderate a sample comment and review display state.
  • Verify published status and that the generated widget ID belongs to the intended site.
  • Test the embed on desktop, mobile and an actual external page.

AI capabilities and context

How this widget uses AI, what information it receives, and when human review is needed.

What AI moderation examines

  • AI moderation evaluates the newly submitted comment text and the selected policy strictness (Relaxed, Balanced or Strict). It is not a full review of linked external accounts or the entire website.

How it works

  • Enable AI moderation in Comments settings and choose the moderation level.
  • After ordinary validation, the comment is saved as hidden pending. The configured AI provider returns an approved or rejected decision and short reason.
  • Owners review the resulting status, reason and timestamp under the Comments Content moderation view and may manually override the visible status.

Limitations and operational requirements

  • On provider error, timeout or malformed output, the comment stays pending for manual review rather than being published automatically.
  • AI moderation can be mistaken; moderators retain final control. This workflow does not consume separate AI Credits.

Integrations and connections

These are operational connections and external destinations, not marketing-only recommendations.

The widget uses the standard Pliget script embed. You do not need to build or bundle the widget into your website.

If your widget collects data, review its individual connection options and limits before publishing.

Install on your website

  1. Create the widget in your Pliget dashboard and configure its content and appearance.
  2. Save and publish it. Drafts are not delivered by the public widget endpoint.
  3. Copy the embed snippet from the widget editor and place it on the target website.
  4. Verify the public widget on desktop and mobile. Make sure the site origin and publication settings are correct.
<script async src="https://cdn-dev.pliget.com/widget.js" data-widget="YOUR_PUBLISHED_WIDGET_ID"></script>

Illustrative snippet: use the exact generated code and widget ID from your dashboard. Do not reuse another site's ID.

Limitations and prerequisites

Protect visitor content and review moderation decisions; AI moderation can make mistakes.
