Capabilities

Manage ratings, review order, source attribution and AI summaries.

Configuration checklist

  • Review text, author, date, rating, source attribution.
  • Filter or order visible testimonials and configure AI summary if enabled.

Verify before publishing

  • Verify attribution points to the original review where available.
  • Automatic sync requires an actually connected provider, not a manually entered source name.
  • Verify published status and that the generated widget ID belongs to the intended site.
  • Test the embed on desktop, mobile and an actual external page.

AI capabilities and context

How this widget uses AI, what information it receives, and when human review is needed.

Source of the AI summary

  • The summary reads only the widget’s saved public review titles, bodies and ratings, together with the configured language. It does not automatically fetch reviews from Google or other platforms.
  • At least three saved reviews are required. Input is bounded to the latest 30 reviews and 18,000 characters, with individual title/body truncation.

How it works

  • Enable AI Review Summary in Reviews settings and save a published widget.
  • The backend hashes the review content and generates a structured summary when the content version changes. Generation is asynchronous and consumes AI Credits.
  • The public widget displays cached last-good summary data; visitors do not trigger AI calls. Failed regeneration keeps the previous summary.

Limitations and operational requirements

  • A summary is derived from the reviews actually stored in the widget, not from unconnected social platforms.
  • Updating source reviews requires regeneration; the last visible summary can lag while a new result is pending.

Integrations and connections

These are operational connections and external destinations, not marketing-only recommendations.

The widget uses the standard Pliget script embed. You do not need to build or bundle the widget into your website.

If your widget collects data, review its individual connection options and limits before publishing.

Manual review sources

Owner-managed content

Create review entries in the editor with source attribution.

Official provider synchronization

Automatic provider sync is a product acceptance requirement, not a verified live integration yet.

Supported languages

Pliget interface and widget localization options. Auto follows the configured locale behavior; not every content field is automatically translated.

Appearance themes

Install on your website

  1. Create the widget in your Pliget dashboard and configure its content and appearance.
  2. Save and publish it. Drafts are not delivered by the public widget endpoint.
  3. Copy the embed snippet from the widget editor and place it on the target website.
  4. Verify the public widget on desktop and mobile. Make sure the site origin and publication settings are correct.
<script async src="https://cdn-dev.pliget.com/widget.js" data-widget="YOUR_PUBLISHED_WIDGET_ID"></script>

Illustrative snippet: use the exact generated code and widget ID from your dashboard. Do not reuse another site's ID.

Limitations and prerequisites

Automatic provider connections require configured credentials and supported integration. Do not present manual reviews as synchronized.
